The Airport was established I believe in 1949 by Dick Odabashion and some of the Schmittens.
After several years, they deeded it the Chelan County so that is could be a public airport and server our area better.
Cashmere Airport is a 24 hour operation, with a lighted runway for night landings. The airport has a manager, Dick Matson,
509-782-4440 & 509-679-4025 and and assistant manager Dan Stewart 509-782-5561 & 509-679-9116. There are 38 hangars
with approximately 50 permanent airplanes on the field. Last year we had over 100 overnight visitors and around 250 day
visitors that used the Airport Courtesy Van to go to downtown Cashmere, Leavenworth and to the winerys in the upper
valley. The runway is relatively short, but acceptable to single engine aircraft and light twins.
